        "content": "<p>Container terminal opens<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto<br>\ninaugurated a new container terminal at the Panjang port in<br>\nBandar Lampung yesterday and a number of other transportation<br>\nprojects in Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>The new container terminal, which cost Rp 56.6 billion (US$24<br>\nmillion), provides a 300-meter berth 12 meters in depth, loading<br>\nand unloading equipment, gantry cranes and a computerized<br>\ndocumentation system.<\/p>\n<p>Another new facility worth Rp 54 billion is to be developed at<br>\nthe seaport; it will have a berth 15 meters in depth, a<br>\nwarehouse, and a container field.<\/p>\n<p>The planned terminal is scheduled to be operational by the end<br>\nof 1997, the Antara news agency reported.<\/p>\n<p>The transportation projects also inaugurated yesterday include<br>\nthe third berth at the Bakauheni sea-crossing facility in<br>\nLampung, a railway station emplacement worth Rp 2.15 billion and<br>\n80 railway wagons and other facilities worth Rp 8.5 billion.<br>\n(icn)<\/p>",
