A total of 110 Precision Red and White Bridges have been built across\nvarious regions of Riau Province to open access for communities,\nparticularly in areas with limited infrastructure. The construction was\npart of the inauguration of 3,395 bridges and 3,000 clean water sources\nbuilt by the Indonesian Military and National Police across Indonesia on\nThursday (13\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the construction virtually\nfrom the State Palace. On the occasion, the President commended the\nNational Police for building and renovating bridges down to the village\nand remote area level. Nationally, the National Police has built and\nrenovated 895 Precision Red and White Bridges. According to the\nPresident, this infrastructure development is a form of state presence\nwhose benefits can be directly felt by the community. The President also\nassessed that development in remote areas needs attention so that people\nliving far from activity centres still obtain access to infrastructure\nand a decent quality of life.<\/p>\n
During the inauguration series, the President greeted several\nRegional Police commands via video conference, including from the\nlocation of the Precision Red and White Bridge in Gobah Village, Kampar\nRegency. Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan reported\nthat the construction of 110 Precision Red and White Bridges was carried\nout through collaboration between the Riau Regional Police and the\ncommunity. He stated this was a follow-up to the President\u2019s directive\nfor the state\u2019s presence to provide direct benefits to the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing up on the President\u2019s directive for every corner of the\nstate to work to bring real benefits to the community, we in Riau are\ntrying to translate that directive through a joint effort,\u201d Herry told\nthe President. He said the construction of the 110 bridges is spread\nacross various areas of Riau with differing access conditions. \u201cWe, the\nRiau Regional Police together with the community, made and built 110\nPrecision Red and White Bridges,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The benefits of the bridge construction are also felt by the\nresidents of Gobah Village, including students. In a dialogue with the\nPresident, Raisa Adelia, a 13-year-old student from Gobah Village,\nrecounted the condition of the bridge before it was repaired.\n\u201cPreviously, our bridge was badly damaged and full of holes. Now, we no\nlonger struggle to go to school because the bridge is good. Thank you,\nMr.\u00a0President, long life and stay healthy,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
In addition to the bridge construction, Herry reported on the\nimplementation of the Precision Red and White Expedition ahead of the\n81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence. The programme is aimed at\nreaching communities in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost regions\nthat still have limited access in Riau.
