        "content": "<p>Constitutional Commission slammed<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Members of the People&apos;s Consultative Assembly (MPR)<br>\ntold the Constitutional Commission on Monday to focus on its<br>\noriginal job of assessing the amended Constitution instead of<br>\nattempting to draft a new one.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmakers said the commission was assigned to harmonize<br>\narticles in the amended Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We hope the commission will focus on harmonizing the<br>\narticles,&quot; Assembly member Andi Mattalatta of the Golkar faction<br>\nsaid during a meeting with commission members here.<\/p>\n<p>The commission was invited to present its progress report<br>\nduring the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The Constitutional Commission was set up in October last year<br>\nand will complete its duties in April.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy chairman of the commission Ishak Latuconsina said the<br>\ninstitution would take the criticism into account. -- JP<\/p>",
