        "content": "<p>Conference calls introduced<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The country's leading telecommunications<br>\noperator, PT Indosat, launched yesterday Indosat International<br>\nConference Call, a facility allowing a simultaneous conference<br>\nbetween 10 people in different countries.<\/p>\n<p>Indosat's commercial director, Bambang Sulistyo, said that the<br>\nnew service was expected to help boost business activity because,<br>\nusing the service, businessmen would be able to save both time<br>\nand expense in coordinating their dealings.<\/p>\n<p>\"Businessmen don't have to travel and stay abroad just to<br>\ncarry on negotiations or make decisions. This audio conference<br>\nservice makes it possible to hold discussions in different<br>\nplaces,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>\"People just need to dial 104 or 101 when they want to use the<br>\nservice. An operator will call the first caller or the<br>\nchairperson back when the other participants of a telephone<br>\nconference are ready for the discussion,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Indosat, which floated shares in New York last year, intends<br>\nto introduce a video conference service with slow motion pictures<br>\nin the near future.(icn)<\/p>",
