        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2013 Citizens are now increasingly facilitated in\nmanaging their motor vehicle tax obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Signal application or National Digital Samsat, payment of\nMotor Vehicle Tax (PKB) up to annual STNK endorsement can be done\ndirectly via smartphone.<\/p>\n<p>This digitalisation of services is part of the government\u2019s ongoing\npush for public service transformation to make it more efficient,\ntransparent, and accessible to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Dirregident Korlantas Polri, Brigjen Pol Wibowo, stated that the\npresence of Signal is one of the efforts to modernise Samsat services so\nthat the public can be more practical in fulfilling vehicle\nadministration obligations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough Signal, the public no longer needs to come and queue at the\nSamsat office to make annual vehicle tax payments,\u201d said Wibowo to\nKompas.com, quoted Friday (8\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This integration makes the data validation process more accurate\nwhile minimising the potential for vehicle data misuse.<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, the Signal application is also equipped with\nArtificial Intelligence (AI) technology to strengthen user security\nsystems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPublic data security is a priority. Therefore, Signal is equipped\nwith biometric verification technology in the form of face matching so\nthat the service process remains safe and trusted,\u201d said Wibowo.<\/p>\n<p>With the presence of this digital service, the public is expected to\nbe increasingly compliant in paying vehicle taxes because the process is\nnow much more practical and can be done anytime without having to come\ndirectly to the Samsat office.<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>User Account Registration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Download the Signal application via App Store or Google Play\nStore.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Enter personal data including NIK, name as per e-KTP, email\naddress, mobile phone number, and password.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Upload a photo of the e-KTP and perform biometric verification\nwith a selfie.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Enter the OTP code sent via SMS.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Click the verification link sent to your email to activate the\naccount.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Add Vehicle Data<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><p>For own vehicle: Select the \u201cAdd Motor Vehicle Data\u201d menu. Enter\nyour Motor Vehicle Registration Number (NRKB) plate number and the last\n5 digits of the frame number.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>For family vehicle (in the same household card): Select the\n\u201cFamily Ownership in One KK\u201d option, then enter the vehicle owner\u2019s\nname, NRKB, last 5 digits of the frame number, owner\u2019s NIK, and upload a\nphoto of the vehicle owner\u2019s ID card.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Select the NRKB of the vehicle to be processed, then click\n\u201cContinue\u201d.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>The screen will display details of the Payment Obligation\nAssessment Letter (SKKP) containing the PKB amount and SWDKLLJ.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>If you want the physical Payment Completion Proof (TBPKP)\ndocument sent to your home, slide the \u201cSend TBPKP Document\u201d button and\nfill in the delivery address data completely.
