        "content": "<p>An emotional atmosphere enveloped Jakarta City Hall as the state,\nrepresented by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the DKI Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment, provided compensation to the family of the victim in the\ntragic accident involving the Electric Rail Train (KRL) and the Argo\nBromo train in Bekasi.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the Death Benefit (JKM) compensation amounting to\nRp42 million was handed over to the heirs of the late Mrs Nuryati, who\npassed away in the unfortunate incident. The handover was conducted\nsymbolically on Tuesday (29\/04\/2026), attended by Deputy Governor of DKI\nJakarta Rano Karno and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan President Director Saiful\nHidayat.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred on 27 April 2026 around 20:50 WIB, while the\ndeceased was travelling with her family. In the incident, the deceased\nsuffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at 21:54 WIB at Bekasi\nGeneral Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, expressed deep\ncondolences for the incident. He emphasised that the government\u2019s\npresence is a form of empathy as well as the state\u2019s responsibility in\nprotecting the community, especially workers and their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope this compensation can alleviate the burden on the bereaved\nfamily. We also appreciate the swift action by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan so\nthat the compensation can be immediately received by the heirs,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The compensation given to the heirs consists of a death benefit of\nRp20 million, periodic compensation of Rp12 million, and funeral costs\nof Rp10 million. The total benefits are part of the Death Benefit\nprogramme aimed at ensuring the livelihood continuity of the surviving\nfamily.<\/p>\n<p>BPJS Ketenagakerjaan President Director, Saiful Hidayat, emphasised\nthat accelerating services is the top priority in handling every claim,\nespecially in emergency conditions as in this case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe implement proactive services by being present directly at the\nlocation and ensuring all participant rights are fulfilled.
