Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has called upon all ranks\nwithin the Prosecutor\u2019s Office not to \u2018sell\u2019 the institution\u2019s name for\npersonal profit.<\/p>\n
This was stated by Burhanuddin during his mandate at the ceremony\ncommemorating the Anniversary of the Prosecutor\u2019s Office on Wednesday\n(2\/9). He reminded staff that the value of integrity is non-negotiable\nand must be upheld by every member of the Adhyaksa. Burhanuddin\nrequested that in all the execution of their duties, they must always\napply the principles of honesty, morality, justice, and ethics.<\/p>\n
\u201cMaximum integrity and optimal morality can close the gaps for\npotential disgraceful acts and prevent the undermining of the\ninstitution\u2019s authority,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
The Attorney General warned all personnel that the ranks held by\nprosecutors are not merely attributes, but symbols of honour and trust.\nTherefore, he reminded them to maintain authority through humility.\nFurthermore, he requested that the authority granted by the state be\nexercised properly and that the positions held be respected\nreasonably.<\/p>\n
\u201cRemember, never ask for or accept anything in the name of the\ninstitution. Because even the smallest act can damage the dignity of the\nProsecutor\u2019s Office that we have collectively protected,\u201d he\nemphasised.<\/p>\n
Burhanuddin subsequently ordered the prosecution service to synergise\nin achieving integrated law enforcement that is high in integrity and\nrespects respective authorities, without losing the independence,\nobjectivity, and integrity of the prosecutor\u2019s office as law\nenforcers.<\/p>\n
Through strong and harmonious synergy, he noted, law enforcement will\nbecome more effective, efficient, trustworthy, and provide certainty and\njustice for all members of society.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that public trust is both an honour and a mandate that\nmust be maintained through integrity, professionalism, and the best\nservice to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery member of the Adhyaksa is a mirror of the institution. Our\nattitude, speech, and behaviour do not only reflect our personal selves,\nbut determine the dignity and authority of the Prosecutor\u2019s Office in\nthe eyes of the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remind all ranks to constantly maintain integrity, prioritise\nsimplicity, and preserve the honour and authority of the institution in\nevery step.
