I caution the Lampung cooperatives center, as the umbrella
\norganization for village cooperatives, not to allow the KUD HK
\ncooperative of Kasui, North Lampung, access to the clove fee
\nfunds for 1991 and 1992, as I suspect the chairman of that
\ncooperative may plan to request, if he has not already done so.<\/p>\n
I hope the Lampung cooperatives center, as the official
\nauthority overseeing cooperatives, also will refrain from
\nrecommending any disbursement of funds to that cooperative.<\/p>\n
As a member of the cooperative's board, I wish to point out
\nthat there have been several irregularities in the management of
\nthe cooperative that need addressing.<\/p>\n
I hope the Lampung cooperatives center will check into the
\ncooperative's finances and present management status.<\/p>\n
Should the center think that the funds must be released, I
\nwould suggest that the money be disbursed as aid for backward
\nvillages in Kasui district, rather than releasing it into the
\nhands of the current chairman. The disbursement to the populace
\ncould be done under the government's nationwide program to allay
\npoverty in backward villages throughout the country.<\/p>\n
