Classical music on offer at Melia<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA: In a treat for classical music lovers , the five-
\nstar Yogyakarta Melia Purosani Hotel is holding a series of
\nclassical music performances during March and April.<\/p>\n
The hotel's public relations manager, Atik Damarjati, said the
\nperformances would be held in a relaxed atmosphere in the lobby
\nlounge.<\/p>\n
"So, you will be able to enjoy the performances while, say,
\nenjoying wine, cigars or coffee, all of which we serve in our
\nlobby room. Or, you can also listen to the music while seeing
\ndemonstrations on how cigars are made," Atik said.<\/p>\n
With the music played by the local Kimpling Ensemble Orchestra
\nunder the sponsorship of Dos Hermanos cigars, the first
\nperformance was held on March 12, 2004. The others are scheduled
\nfor March 26, April 10 and April 24. All the remaining
\nperformances will be held in the Soka Lounge in the lobby between
\n7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Among the works to be played are Eine Kleine
\nNacht, Alegro 23, Quartet 25, Canon, Norwegian Dance
\nNo. 5, and Air Bach.<\/p>\n
Atik also said that some popular songs would also be played
\nduring the performance, included Over The Rainbow, Juwita Malam,
\nAutumn Leave, Two Rondeaut, and Yesterday. --JP<\/p>",
