The decision was\nmade after Elza admitted to discovering a number of facts that\ncontradicted her client\u2019s initial claims. The resignation also ends the\nlegal assistance previously provided by Elza to the former Deputy Head\nof the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). According to her, the trust that\nformed the basis of the lawyer-client relationship could no longer be\nmaintained. Elza Syarief revealed that from the outset, Sony Sonjaya had\nconvinced her that he was not involved in the corrupt practices\ncurrently under investigation. In fact, Sony Sonjaya had reportedly\nclaimed he was clean, which led Elza Syarief to agree to provide legal\nassistance. However, after receiving information from several parties,\nElza Syarief\u2019s view changed.
