        "content": "<p>The Head of the National Reserve Agency of the Ministry of Defence,\nLieutenant General Gabriel Lema, stated that the ministry has prepared a\ncurriculum as material for the reserve component (Komcad) training\nprogramme for civil servants. The first wave of Komcad training\nparticipants consists of 2,019 civil servants from 49 ministries and\nagencies.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel explained that the civil servants participating in Komcad\nwill receive basic military training. One of the military-style training\nmethods to be implemented is the operation of weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey (the Komcad participant civil servants) will later have to\ncarry out shooting exercises,\u201d he said when met at the National Monument\nfield in Jakarta on Monday, 13 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, he stated that the Komcad participant civil servants\nwill only receive limited knowledge regarding such military-style\ntraining. In addition, the 2,019 civil servants will receive training\nfocused on character building.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe training curriculum in a simple context includes building corps\nspirit, care, discipline, mental resilience, and ways to solve\nproblems,\u201d said this three-star general.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the implementation of the Komcad training programme\ncurriculum for civil servants aligns with the objectives to be achieved.\nGabriel said the goal of Komcad training for civil servants is not only\nto improve national defence readiness but also to build professional,\nloyal, integrity-filled human resources with a national defence\ncharacter.<\/p>\n<p>The 2,019 civil servants participating in the first wave of Komcad\ntraining have been dispatched to six educational institutions to undergo\nfurther tests regarding physical competence, psychology, and ideological\nmentality. Meanwhile, the Basic Military Training programme will be\nopened on 22 April at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The six educational institutions facilitating this Komcad training\nprogramme include Puskombelneg BPSDM Kemhan, Rindam Jaya, Pusdikes\nPuskesat, Brigif 1 Pasmar, Pusbahasa Kodiklat AU, and Wingdik 500 Atang\nSanjaya.
