It will provide the public with<br>\nall services related to the deadly disease.<\/p>\n<p>The Awanama clinic was set up by the Pelita Ilmu foundation in<br>\nTebet Timur Dalam, South Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Nurwati, head of the clinic, said on Saturday that the clinic<br>\nwas badly needed to help curb the increasing number of people<br>\ncarrying HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), which causes AIDS.<\/p>\n<p>There are 61 people that are HIV positive and 44 AIDS<br>\nsufferers in Jakarta, the latest record of the health ministry<br>\nshows.<\/p>\n<p>She called on the public not to hesitate in consulting the<br>\nclinic about AIDS\/HIV and having blood tests to make sure they<br>\nare not infected.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will withhold the names of our clients to avoid possible<br>\nhumiliation,\" she said.<\/p>\n<p>The clinic is offering free services for two months.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the Pelita Ilmu foundation, Jakarta has other anti-<br>\nAIDS organizations such as the Indonesian AIDS foundation,<br>\nPelopor Maju Mandiri foundation, the AIDS study group of Cipto<br>\nMangunkusumo hospital, Indonesian Planned Parenthood Association,<br>\nKusuma Buana foundation, Mitra Indonesia AIDS hot line and the<br>\nNational Epidemiology Network.
