The People\u2019s Struggle Post (Posko Perjuangan\nRakyat) established the complaint centre to inventory data from\nresidents whose assigned decile status does not align with their social\nand economic realities.<\/p>\n<p>The post serves as a venue for citizens to raise issues regarding\ndecile data, which they link to their access to various government\nprogrammes. Many residents complained that they are unable to receive\nPIP and KJP benefits because of their current decile position.<\/p>\n<p>According to organisers, some residents with low economic status are\ninstead recorded in higher decile categories. One housewife shared that\nher family is recorded in decile 6; despite her husband working as a\nstreet musician and having a child in school, the family is ineligible\nfor PIP or KJP.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key components in the DTKS (Integrated Social Welfare\nData) is the decile, which is a grouping of families based on their\nrelative level of welfare. Families are ranked according to various\nsocio-economic characteristics and then divided into ten groups.<\/p>\n<p>Decile 1 represents the group with the lowest relative level of\nwelfare, while decile 10 represents the group with the highest relative\nlevel of welfare.<\/p>",
