Although the process is online, a number\nof parents were observed visiting their target junior high schools to\nregister. Based on monitoring, several parents were seen at SMP Negeri 4\nCirebon on Thursday (18\/6). One of them, Ida Rosidah, visited the school\nto register her child. \u201cMy child from SD Kartika has long wanted to\nenrol in this school,\u201d said Ida. Her child has achievements in sports,\nand SMP 4 has quite a number of students who are also athletes. Ida\nregistered her child through the sports achievement pathway. Ida\nadmitted she deliberately visited the registration committee at the\ntarget junior high school because she was afraid of making a mistake.\n\u201cThe registration is online, I was afraid of making a mistake. So I came\ndirectly here,\u201d she said. Meanwhile, the Education Agency (Disdik) of\nCirebon City, West Java, has opened assistance services for parents and\nstudents during the 2026 SPMB implementation. \u201cThe aim is to minimise\nerrors during the online registration process,\u201d said Ade Cahyani, Head\nof the Primary Education Division at Disdik Cirebon City. Registration\ncan be carried out at the student\u2019s original school, at the target\nschool, or at the Disdik Cirebon City office. Ade explained that\nassistance is provided considering that parents\u2019 abilities to use\ndevices and access digital services are not uniform. However, the\nregistration process must still be conducted online, and data\nverification is carried out according to the applicable standard\noperating procedures (SOP). The most common errors encountered during\nthe registration process are mistakes in filling in data and\ndiscrepancies in the coordinate points of the prospective student\u2019s\ndomicile. Schools can reject data that does not match the verification\nresults, so parents and prospective students are asked to ensure all\ninputted data is correct before submission. The Cirebon City SPMB is\ndivided into two stages: the first and second stages. Currently, new\nstudent registration is entering the first stage, which covers the\naffirmation, mutation, and achievement pathways. For the first stage of\nSPMB, Disdik Cirebon City has set a quota of 30 percent for the\nachievement pathway, 20 percent for affirmation, and five percent for\nmutation, totalling 55 percent of the overall available capacity. \u201cA\nportion of the affirmation quota is also allocated for students with\nspecial needs (PDBK),\u201d said Ade. The remaining 45 percent quota will be\nopened in the second stage through the domicile pathway in accordance\nwith regulations set by the local government.<\/p>",
