Ciputra builds new complex<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A subsidiary of Ciputra Group is developing a Rp
\n800 billion (US$307 million) housing complex just outside
\nJakarta, designed to blend in with the still largely untouched
\nsurrounding nature.<\/p>\n
The huge 1,200-hectare complex, called Citra Indah, is located
\noff the main road linking Cibubur in East Jakarta and Jonggol-
\nCianjur in West Java.<\/p>\n
It is being developed by PT Kharismakusuma Pujalestari.<\/p>\n
The complex will be equipped with floral and fruit parks as
\nwell as other amenities for a town, such as office buildings,
\nshopping centers, hospitals and schools.<\/p>\n
The project appears to have strong official endorsement, seen
\nwith the presence of three cabinet ministers at the inauguration
\non Sunday. They were State Minister of Public Housing Akbar
\nTandjung, Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Azwar Anas,
\nand State Minister of Population Haryono Suyono. West Java
\nGovernor Nuriana was also present.<\/p>\n
Kharismakusuma Pujalestari president Harun Hayadi said the
\nfirst phase of the project had been completed with 955 houses.<\/p>\n
The complex will comply with the government requirement to
\nbuild six low-cost houses for every three middle-cost houses and
\none luxury house, Harun said.<\/p>\n
Minister Azwar inaugurated on Sunday a kindergarten and
\nprimary school at the complex which is managed by the well-known
\nAl-Azhar educational institute. Minister Hayono inaugurated the
\nHappy Family Statue while Minister Akbar presented land
\ncertificates to owners of the new homes. (12)<\/p>",
