        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) recorded a\nconsolidated pre-tax profit (unaudited) of Rp 2.3 trillion in the first\nquarter of 2026. This figure represents a 4.5 percent year-on-year\ngrowth compared to Rp 2.2 trillion in the same period the previous year.\nThe profit generated earnings per share of Rp 70.20. This net profit was\nsupported by loan disbursements or financing amounting to Rp 235.1\ntrillion in the same period. BNGA recorded the highest growth from\ncorporate banking at 4.8 percent year-on-year, followed by the Small and\nMedium Enterprises (SME) segment at 1.2 percent year-on-year, and\nConsumer Banking at 0.2 percent year-on-year. Retail loan or financing\ngrowth was primarily driven by an increase in Car Ownership Credit (KPM)\nof 4.0 percent year-on-year. Asset quality remains well-maintained, with\nthe non-performing loan (NPL) ratio below the industry average, and the\ncost of credit (COC) remaining below 1 percent. CIMB Niaga\u2019s President\nDirector and CEO, Lani Darmawan, stated that BNGA\u2019s performance in the\nfirst quarter of 2026 was driven by strong revenue performance, solid\nfee-based income growth, and healthy business fundamentals. \u201cThis\nachievement was supported by disciplined cost management, as well as\nselective credit growth backed by strong current account savings account\n(CASA) funding, achieving the highest CASA ratio of 73.9 percent,\nthereby strengthening our ability to maintain margins,\u201d she said in an\nofficial statement on Monday (4\/5\/2026). She added that CIMB Niaga\nmaintains good capitalisation and liquidity positions, with a capital\nadequacy ratio (CAR) and loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) of 25.3 percent and\n89.2 percent, respectively. Furthermore, BNGA\u2019s total consolidated\nassets amounted to Rp 368.2 trillion as of 31 March 2026. \u201cThis further\nstrengthens CIMB Niaga\u2019s position as the second-largest national private\nbank in Indonesia,\u201d she added. Meanwhile, third-party funds (DPK)\nincreased to Rp 260.1 trillion, or 2.3 percent year-on-year growth.
