        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - A member of Cimanggis Police Station, Aiptu Yayat\nSuderajat, appeared as a witness in the trial of the corruption case\nimplicating the inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara, held at the Bandung\nCorruption Court on Wednesday (8\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Public Relations of Depok Police Resort, Iptu Made Budi,\nstated that Yayat\u2019s testimony is suspected to be related to his\ninvolvement in the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, that\u2019s correct; the individual was called as a witness related\nto that case,\u201d said Made when confirmed by Kompas.com on Wednesday\n(22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, he is registered as a member of Cimanggis Police Station.\nThere is no information regarding this (resignation),\u201d Made added.<\/p>\n<p>Quoted from Wartakota Bekasi, Yayat\u2019s name emerged after the Head of\nthe Water Resources, Public Works, and Construction Agency of Bekasi\nRegency, Henry Lincoln, was also examined as a witness.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement, Henry admitted to knowing the defendant Sarjan\nthrough Yayat when meeting Bekasi official Dani Ramdan.<\/p>\n<p>Yayat is also said to have received benefits from several local\ngovernment projects during Ade Kuswara\u2019s leadership in Bekasi\nRegency.<\/p>\n<p>The Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption\nEradication Commission (KPK), Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated that this\nbribery case began when Ade Kuswara communicated with Sarjan, a private\nparty providing project packages in the Bekasi Regency government\nenvironment.<\/p>\n<p>From that communication, over the past year, Regent Ade routinely\nrequested advances for project packages from Sarjan through the\nintermediary HM Kunang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total advances given by Sarjan to Regent Ade, together with HM\nKunang, amounted to Rp 9.5 billion.
