The Cimahi Police are preparing traffic management schemes to address potential congestion in West Bandung District, Cimahi City, and surrounding areas during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 holiday period, when one-way restrictions will be implemented on the Trans Java toll road. Approximately 667 police personnel will be deployed across three operational zones (north, west, and east) to manage traffic flow and assist travellers during the 13-25 March 2026 Ketupat Lodaya operation.

The Cimahi Police are preparing to face potential traffic congestion
in West Bandung District (KBB), Cimahi City, West Java, and Margaasih as
a result of the implementation of one-way traffic on the Trans Java toll
road during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period for the year 1447 Hijriah.
However, the impact of the one-way implementation had not yet been
observed in the Cimahi Police’s jurisdiction.

“There will certainly be impacts from the national one-way activity
from Jakarta to Java. In our area we have the Padalarang, Baros 1 and 2,
and Margaasih toll gates which may receive an overflow of vehicles due
to the national one-way implementation,” said Cimahi Police Chief AKBP
Niko Nurallah Adi Putra at Padalarang on Tuesday (16 March 2026).

However, based on police monitoring, as of four days before Eid,
there had been no significant increase in vehicles entering and passing
through the Cimahi Police’s jurisdiction. Neither through arterial roads
from Purwakarta or Cianjur nor from the toll gates.

“Until now, regarding the traffic situation coming into our area,
either through arterial roads from Padalarang to Cimahi City or
Cikalongwetan or from several toll gates, it still appears relatively
normal. There is an increase but it is not yet significant,” said
Niko.

Despite the absence of significant congestion, police working with
relevant stakeholders have already prepared traffic management schemes.
Traffic engineering schemes involving partial one-way implementation
have been prepared to ease congestion.

“Of course there will be engineering with partial one-way from
north-south or from west to east or vice versa,” said Niko.

The Cimahi Police’s congestion resolution team is also ready to be
deployed for the security of the Lodaya 2026 operation on holiday and
tourism routes. They will be on standby to assist holiday travellers and
tourists whilst easing traffic congestion with humanitarian service.

“We have directed 103 of our personnel specifically for the
congestion resolution team,” said Niko.

He stated that the resolution team would be divided across three
designated zones. The northern zone includes the areas of Lembang,
Cisarua and Parongpong. In addition to alternative holiday route access,
these areas are also predicted to be crowded during the Eid al-Fitr 2026
holiday.

Then there is the western zone from Cipatat and Cikalongwetan to the
Padalarang area, which is the main route for holiday travellers using
motorcycles in particular, and the eastern zone from Padalarang towards
Cimahi City, which is the main access route for holiday travellers
heading towards the Bandung and East Priangan regions such as Garut,
Tasik and surrounding areas.

“We divided it into three zones that require security, namely the
northern zone, then also the western zone and the eastern zone,” said
Niko.

Niko continued that more than 600 police personnel would be deployed
to escort and secure the outbound and return traffic flow during Eid
2026 in the Cimahi Police’s jurisdiction. They will serve during the
Ketupat Lodaya 2026 operation period, which runs from 13-25 March
2026.

“This is a demonstration of our readiness to receive or manage the
Eid or Hari Raya Idulfitri holiday activities for the year 1447 Hijriah.
The number of personnel is 667 spread out, with the operation lasting
approximately 13 days,” said Niko.
",
