Jakarta \u2014 Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman is suspected of\nmobilising several officials within the Cilacap Regency Government,\nincluding assistants and the Civil Protection Chief, to demand holiday\nallowance contributions from regional work units.<\/p>\n
These contribution demands are allegedly intended to meet the holiday\nallowance needs of external parties, specifically the Coordination Forum\nof Regional Leaders (Forkopimda), as well as for the regent\u2019s personal\ninterests.<\/p>\n
According to Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy of Enforcement and Execution\nat the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the order to collect the\nfunds was initially conveyed by Syamsul to Cilacap Regional Secretary\nSadmoko Danardono.<\/p>\n
Following this discussion, three assistants subsequently communicated\nthe fund requirements to each regional work unit in Cilacap Regency,\nwith a total collection target of Rp 750 million.<\/p>\n
The amount requested from each regional work unit varied. The\ndetermination of these amounts was made based on the consideration of\nAssistant II Ferry Adhi Dharma. If any regional work unit was unable to\nmeet the contribution amount, they were directed to discuss the matter\ndirectly with Ferry.<\/p>\n
\u201cSubsequently, Sadmoko also issued orders to Sumbowo, Ferry, and Budi\nto communicate and coordinate Syamsul\u2019s request for funds regarding\npersonal and external holiday allowance needs, which had to be collected\nbefore the Eid holiday break in 2026, with a deadline of 13 March 2026,\u201d\nAsep continued.<\/p>\n
The fund collection was conducted before the Eid holiday break to\nensure holiday allowances could be distributed promptly.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf they had not made contributions, the regional apparatus would be\nfollowed up by Sumbowo, Ferry, and Budi within their respective areas of\nresponsibility, assisted by the Civil Protection Chief, Rochman, and the\nHead of the Cilacap Regency Food Security Service,\u201d Asep added.<\/p>\n
Cash collected in this manner was seized from the residence of Ferry\nAdhi Dharma and was placed into goodie bags for distribution to\nForkopimda.<\/p>\n
In this case, the KPK has established two suspects: Syamsul Auliya\nRachman and Sadmoko Danardono. Both were immediately detained at the KPK\ndetention centre for the initial 20-day period.<\/p>\n
