The Cilacap District Government in Central Java has prepared 18 buses\nto support the free Lebaran homecoming and return migration programme. A\ntotal of 864 seats have been allocated for migrants from Cilacap, with\nroutes to and from Jakarta and Bandung.<\/p>\n
The programme forms part of the district\u2019s contribution to the\nCentral Java Provincial Government\u2019s free homecoming agenda. The Cilacap\nDistrict Government has partnered with various stakeholders and\nbusinesses to expand the capacity for outbound migrants. At the regency\nand city level in Central Java, Cilacap\u2019s allocation is recorded as the\nlargest.<\/p>\n
Sukaryanto, Head of the Cilacap District Transportation Office,\nexplained that of the total 18 buses prepared, four units are financed\nthrough the district budget. The remaining 14 units represent\ncontributions from stakeholders and businesses. \u201cIn total there are 18\nbuses with a capacity of 864 seats. Four units from the district budget\nand 14 from stakeholders. This is the largest number in Central Java at\nthe regency and city level,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
For the homecoming journey, the Cilacap District Government has\nprepared six buses on the Jakarta\u2013Cilacap route and seven buses on the\nBandung\u2013Cilacap route. For the return migration journey, three buses on\nthe Cilacap\u2013Jakarta route and two buses on the Cilacap\u2013Bandung route are\nprovided.<\/p>\n
The departure of free homecoming participants from Jakarta is\nscheduled to take place at the Museum Purnabakti, in the Taman Mini\nIndonesia Indah area, on 16 March 2026. Meanwhile, departures from\nBandung will be carried out at PT Dirgantara Indonesia on the same day\nat 15:00 WIB.<\/p>\n
For the return migration journey, participants will depart from the\nCilacap Transportation Office on Saturday, 28 March 2026. The route to\nJakarta is scheduled to depart at 08:00 WIB, whilst the Bandung route\ndeparts at 09:00 WIB, before continuing the journey towards Bulupitu\nTerminal.<\/p>\n
Sukaryanto emphasised that all vehicles used are tour buses with a\nmaximum age of five years. The vehicles are ensured to be roadworthy,\npossess complete licences, and meet safety standards. \u201cVehicle\nrequirements include a maximum age of five years, two-by-two seating,\nprime condition and complete licences. Safety is the main priority,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
In addition to free transport facilities, participants also receive\nmeals during the journey, including food for breaking the fast. All\nvehicle costs include support for these logistics.<\/p>\n
The seat allocation breakdown is as follows: 288 seats for the\nJakarta\u2013Cilacap route and 336 seats for the Bandung\u2013Cilacap route. For\nthe return migration journey, 144 seats are available for the\nCilacap\u2013Jakarta route and 96 seats for the Cilacap\u2013Bandung route.
