Tracing\nback from 2016 to 2026, March 2026 cigarette production is the lowest at\nleast since 2017, or over 10 years. Overall, cigarette production from\nJanuary to March 2026 reached 71.2 billion sticks, up 4.1% compared to\nthe same period last year. Production for January-March 2026 is\nconsidered low compared to the average for January-March or the first\nquarter over the past nine years (73 billion sticks).
