Beijing (ANTARA) - The China International Fair for Trade in Services\n(CIFTIS) 2026, held in Beijing, China, from 9\u201313 September, has deepened\nthe consensus to strengthen cooperation within the services sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeneficial results were achieved during the exhibition, which\nincluded the organisation of nearly 100 conferences and forums, as well\nas over 100 business matchmaking and promotion activities,\u201d said Zhu\nGuangyao, an official from China\u2019s Ministry of Commerce, during a press\nconference following the event\u2019s conclusion.<\/p>\n
Zhu stated that the successful hosting of the event sends a clear\nsignal to the world that China will unhesitatingly expand high-standard\nopenness and promote high-quality development.<\/p>\n
According to Lu Huiling, Deputy Head and spokesperson for the Beijing\nMunicipal Bureau of Commerce, CIFTIS 2026 produced more than 1,200\nachievements across seven categories, effectively driving resource\nmatching, exchange, and cooperation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the country of honour, Norway signed six cooperation agreements\nwith various Chinese companies and institutions,\u201d said Lu.<\/p>\n
Lu noted that this year\u2019s exhibition has become increasingly popular,\nwith a continuous rise in visitor numbers at Shougang Park, the event\u2019s\nvenue. As of Sunday (13\/9) afternoon local time, the main CIFTIS area\nhad received nearly 420,000 visits, representing a 36.6 per cent\nincrease year-on-year.<\/p>\n
Under the theme \u201cGlobal Services, Shared Prosperity\u201d, the event was\nattended by more than 1,800 companies showcasing products and services\ndirectly, including over 470 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry\nleaders.<\/p>\n
The exhibition featured various new technologies, solutions, and\nachievements in trade in services, including information and\ncommunications, financial technology, digital and intelligent\nhealthcare, smart education, as well as energy conservation and\nenvironmental protection.<\/p>\n
According to Zhu, China will continue to deepen international\ncooperation in trade in services, innovate cooperation models, expand\nareas of cooperation, explore potential for collaboration, align with\nthe development strategies and cooperation initiatives of various\ncountries, and utilise major exhibition platforms like CINTFIS as a\nbridge to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between nations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe warmly welcome service companies from all over the world to\nexplore the Chinese market and share the opportunities offered by the\nvast Chinese market,\u201d said Zhu.<\/p>\n
Trade in services, an essential component of international trade,\nplays an increasingly vital role in driving global economic growth and\nindustrial advancement. According to guest speakers at the exhibition,\nthe services sector is becoming an inseparable part of the global supply\nchain, supporting not only production activities but also design,\nmanagement, logistics, and distribution.<\/p>\n
According to the President of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, who\nalso serves as the Chairperson of the African Union, CIFTIS, as one of\nthe world\u2019s largest trade in services platforms, embodies the vision of\nopenness, cooperation, and shared development.<\/p>\n
