        "content": "<p>Cianjur Regency, West Java, is preparing to face the potential dry\nseason, especially readiness in the agricultural sector, which is\npredicted to be affected.<\/p>\n<p>Regent of Cianjur, Mohammad Wahyu Ferdian, stated that the local\ngovernment has discussed the potential for a prolonged dry season that\nneeds to be anticipated early, considering the need for strategic steps\nto minimise its impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to predictions, La Ni\u00f1a will soon end. Now it\u2019s shifting\nto El Ni\u00f1o. We have discussed this far in advance. We are preparing to\nface a dry season that is expected to be quite extreme,\u201d said Wahyu\nrecently.<\/p>\n<p>One of the strategic steps that the local government will take is\npreparing to meet the stock of water supply needs for agricultural land.\nThis includes preparing irrigation infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe impact of the dry season usually affects the potential for\nagricultural land drought, clean water crisis for the community, and\npotential forest and land fires,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to irrigation, in the agricultural sector, particularly\nfor paddy fields, quality seeds and fertiliser availability also need to\nbe prepared.
