JAKARTA: The Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Body (BPOM) has
\napproved the distribution of the erectile dysfunction (ED) drug
\nCialis, pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly Indonesia said in a
\nstatement recently.<\/p>\n
Cialis, which is also known by its generic brand Tadalafil, is
\na new phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) enzyme inhibitor, which
\nhas been shown to improve erectile function for up to 36 hours
\nafter intake.<\/p>\n
Erectile dysfunction is defined as the consistent inability to
\nattain and maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory
\nsexual intercourse.<\/p>\n
"ED is a significant medical condition that affects millions
\nof men throughout the world, including Indonesia. Men tell us
\nthey want an ED treatment that will reduce the constraints of
\nplanning and allow them to choose the moment that is right for
\nintimacy," Eli Lilly Indonesia's head of operations Puspo Sumadi
\nsaid in the statement.<\/p>\n
Cialis is available in 10 mg and 20 mg doses in Indonesia and
