Chrisjon hires Aussie trainer<\/p>\n

After splitting with trainer Sutan Rambing, world
\nfeatherweight champion Chrisjon of Indonesia has hired new
\ntrainer Greg Christian of Perth, Australia.<\/p>\n
Christian will guide the boxer through his training for his
\nmandatory fight against Derrick Gainer of the U.S.<\/p>\n
\"I signed the contract with Christian's right-hand man on
\nTuesday. Christian will become my coach and manager,\" Chrisjon
\nsaid here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The match against Gainer has been scheduled for March 3, or 90
\ndays after Chrisjon retained his belt after a draw with Jose
\nRojas of Venezuela in Tenggarong, East Kalimantan.<\/p>\n
However, the Gainer fight could be in jeopardy following an
\nappeal by Sutan for the World Boxing Association (WBA) not to
\nsanction the fight until after he and Chrisjon settled their
\ndifferences.<\/p>\n
Claiming that Chrisjon was tied to a contract until 2007,
\nSutan threatened a lawsuit for any breach in the contract.<\/p>\n
However, on Wednesday Chrisjon did not appear to be bothered
\nby the threat.<\/p>\n
He said that he would undergo his preparation for the Gainer
\nfight with Christian in Australia.<\/p>\n
Chrisjon said his decision to choose Christian as his coach
\nand manager was because he knew that Christian was a reputable
\ncoach.<\/p>\n
\"Christian also has a broad network with the World Boxing
\nAssociation (WBA) officials,\" he said, adding that Christian was
\na friend of promoter Daniel Bahari.<\/p>\n
Daniel has been promoting Chrisjon fights.<\/p>\n
Chrisjon, who is going to marry Anna Maria Megawati in
\nFebruary, said he would first solve his dispute with his former
\ncoach Sutan Rambing before moving to train at Christian's camp.<\/p>\n
He said he was ready if Sutan brought the case to court.<\/p>\n
After his defense against Rojas, Chrisjon decided to leave
\nSutan's Bank Buana Semarang training camp in late December, at
\nthe time he said he wanted to become his own manager.<\/p>",
