        "content": "<p>The Class II Non-Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Immigration Office in\nMadiun, East Java, has deported a Chinese national with the initials ZK\n(46) after he was proven to have violated immigration regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Class II Non-TPI Madiun Immigration Office, Arief Adi\nPrayogo, said ZK was found to have overstayed his residence permit while\nalso working as a cook at a restaurant in Madiun City without the\nappropriate authorisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe detained one man with the initials ZK, a Chinese national. The\ninformation was obtained from the public, and after we took his\nstatement, it was also discovered that he had overstayed, with his\npermit having expired on 27 June 2026,\u201d Arief said in Madiun on\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, ZK previously held a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS)\nsponsored by a company in Semarang. However, based on coordination with\nthe Semarang Immigration Office, ZK was found to no longer be in an\nemployment relationship with that sponsor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe individual absconded and then engaged in illegal activity as a\nchef or cook at a restaurant in Madiun,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>After being detained, ZK was taken to the Madiun Immigration Office\nto undergo further examination regarding his residence permit status,\nthe purpose of his presence in Indonesia, and his work activities.<\/p>\n<p>Arief stated that ZK\u2019s violations relate to Article 78 paragraphs (2)\nand (3) as well as Article 75 paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Immigration\nLaw.<\/p>\n<p>After the entire examination process was completed, the Madiun\nImmigration Office imposed administrative immigration measures in the\nform of deportation and entry prohibition. ZK was deported on 11 August\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>In ZK\u2019s case, Immigration authorities also examined the owner or\nmanager of the restaurant where ZK worked. ZK\u2019s sponsor in Semarang was\nalso asked to provide information. For the party in Madiun, Immigration\nissued a warning letter to prevent similar incidents from recurring.<\/p>",
