Head of the Kendari Immigration Office,\nSoesilo Sumedi, stated on Thursday that the Chinese citizen, identified\nas LT, was apprehended at a stone-crushing company in Moramo\nSub-district, South Konawe District, on August 8, 2024. \u201cThis foreign\ncitizen was caught abusing his residence permit and was promptly\ndeported on August 14, 2024, through Soekarno Hatta International\nAirport, Jakarta,\u201d Sumedi confirmed. The deportation follows a targeted\nimmigration surveillance operation aimed at curbing unlawful activities\nby foreign nationals, particularly from China.
