        "content": "<p>Beijing (ANTARA) - China\u2019s fixed asset investment fell by 7.2 per\ncent year-on-year in the first eight months of 2026, according to\nofficial data released on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Total investment reached approximately 29.3 trillion yuan (around\n4.33 trillion US dollars) during this period, the National Bureau of\nStatistics (NBS) stated.<\/p>\n<p>Excluding the property sector, the country\u2019s fixed asset investment\ndeclined by 4.2 per cent in the first eight months of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, investment in intellectual property products increased by\n9.2 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>Investment in high-tech industries rose by 5.2 per cent year-on-year.\nSpecifically, investment in information services, aerospace\nmanufacturing, and electronic equipment and communications manufacturing\nincreased by 22.7 per cent, 14.9 per cent, and 6.9 per cent respectively\nduring the first eight months of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>By industry, investment in the primary industry fell by 2.4 per cent,\nthe secondary industry fell by 2.9 per cent, and the tertiary industry\nfell by 9.9 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>By sector, investment in infrastructure declined by 4 per cent,\nmanufacturing investment fell by 2.3 per cent, and real estate\ndevelopment investment dropped by 19.9 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>",
