Beijing (ANTARA) - China aims to attract 190 million inbound tourist\nvisits every year by 2030, according to a new five-year tourism\ndevelopment plan.<\/p>\n
This marks an expansion of China\u2019s efforts to attract foreign\ntourists as the country strives to boost consumption and deepen\ninternational exchanges.<\/p>\n
The plan, which has been approved by China\u2019s State Council, targets\ninbound tourism spending of more than US$150 billion (1 US dollar =\nRp17,988) annually by 2030, while calling for higher-quality tourism\nservices and a stronger global presence for China\u2019s tourism\nindustry.<\/p>\n
To help achieve these targets, China will further simplify services\nfor inbound tourists throughout their journeys within the country.<\/p>\n
The plan calls for the expansion of visa-free entry programmes and\nthe addition of international air and rail connections, while improving\nease of use regarding payments, transport, communication, and\naccommodation, as well as optimising tax refund procedures.<\/p>\n
Various multilingual tourist services are also expected to increase\nthrough better training for foreign-language tour guides and the wider\nuse of artificial intelligence (AI) based translation devices.<\/p>\n
