        "content": "<p>Children from Bali at Erasmus Huis<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP) : An exhibition entitled \"Children from Bali<br>\n1978-1983\" opened Wednesday at the Erasmus Huis Dutch cultural<br>\ncenter, and runs to Aug. 23.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition on Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta,<br>\nfeatures paintings and pictures by four children from the Ubud<br>\nvillage.<\/p>\n<p>From 1978 to 1983, the homes of several Ubud residents became<br>\na sanctuary for children to spend time before and after school.<\/p>\n<p>These children were given equipment to paint, without any<br>\nformal training. The ones whose works are on display here are Ni<br>\nMade Tirta, I Wayan Suka, I Gusti Putu Mantra and I Gusti Made<br>\nTirtayasa.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition also features paintings and sculptures of the<br>\nartist Sadra.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers say this is the first time Sadra's work, sought<br>\nafter by private collectors, is being displayed to the public.<br>\n(25)<\/p>",
