        "content": "<p>Child kidnapping haunts Kendari<\/p>\n<p>KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Concern is growing, notably among<br>\nparents, over the increasing incidence of child abduction for<br>\nransom.<\/p>\n<p>Four children have been reported missing over the past few<br>\nweeks, and one six-year-old child is known to have been abducted.<\/p>\n<p>Police recently raided the hideout of one kidnapper and<br>\nrescued the son of a businessman. They said the kidnapper had<br>\ndemanded ransom but the police found his hiding place before he<br>\nwas able to collect the money.<\/p>\n<p>Antara reported that in the latest incident this week, three<br>\nchildren of the local head of the Antara news agency, Ronny<br>\nSyamsuddin, almost fell victim to a kidnapper.<\/p>\n<p>While returning home from school the children were pushed into<br>\na van by a man whose identity is not known. They managed to<br>\nescape unharmed, however, the report said. (pan)<\/p>",
