Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chery has launched the Tiggo 8 Champion Family SUV\nrange, comprising the Tiggo 8 Plus, Tiggo 8 Pro, and Tiggo 8, all of\nwhich have received updates including enhanced driver assistance\nfeatures, the latest cockpit hardware, and improved equipment\nlevels.<\/p>\n
As reported by Carnewschina on Wednesday (3\/6) local time, the\nprimary highlight is the Tiggo 8 Plus Extraordinary Champion, which is\nnow equipped with the Falcon 500 driver assistance system. This system\nutilises the Qualcomm 8620 chip and supports Navigation on Autopilot\n(NOA) on motorways, including automatic lane changes, obstacle\navoidance, ramp entry and exit, tunnel adaptation, and lane borrowing\nwhen passing through construction areas.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the SUV features Automatic Parking Assist (APA) to\nfacilitate automated parking processes. Chery is offering the Tiggo 8\nPlus in both Luxury and Falcon 500 Edition variants at promotional\nprices of 106,900 yuan (approximately Rp283 million) and 121,900 yuan\n(approximately Rp322 million) respectively. The company has\ndistinguished models equipped with the driver assistance system with\nblue accents on the exterior.<\/p>\n
In terms of design, the Tiggo 8 Plus retains the polygonal grille and\nintegrated headlights seen in previous models. The SUV measures between\n4,688\u20134,705 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,747 mm in height,\nwith a wheelbase of 2,710 mm.<\/p>\n
Inside the cabin, Chery has installed a 15.6-inch 2.5K resolution\ninfotainment screen powered by the Qualcomm 8255 chip. The system is\nsupported by an AI voice model claimed to improve command recognition by\n40 per cent, boasting an activation rate of over 98 per cent and a\nresponse time of approximately 700 milliseconds.<\/p>\n
The cabin offers 32 storage compartments and a boot capacity of up to\n1,930 litres when the rear seats are folded. Comfort features include\neight-point massage seats with five modes, a 10-speaker Sony audio\nsystem, dual-zone air conditioning, and the C-Pure cabin air\npurification system.<\/p>\n
For performance, the Tiggo 8 Plus utilises the Kunpeng 1.6 TGDI turbo\npetrol engine, producing 147 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque. Chery\nclaims that the dual hydraulic engine mounts can improve vibration\ndamping by more than 30 per cent.
