JAKARTA \u2014 Several major national banks have adjusted their\noperational schedules during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays, which\nwill run from 18-24 March 2026.<\/p>\n
Bank operational schedules during this period largely follow Bank\nIndonesia\u2019s (BI) adjustments, which will suspend most banking services.\nThe services that BI will not operate include the entire BI Real Time\nGross Settlement (BI-RTGS) system, BI Scripless Securities Settlement\nSystem (BI-SSSS), BI Electronic Trading Platform (BI-ETP), Bank\nIndonesia\u2019s National Clearing System (SKNBI), cash services, and all\nrupiah and foreign currency monetary operations. BI will also not\npublish information on the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR),\nnon-US Dollar\/Rupiah reference rates, Indonesia Overnight Index Average\n(INDONIA), Compounded INDONIA, and INDONIA Index.<\/p>\n
During this period, BI will only fully operate the Bank Indonesia\nFast Payment (BI-FAST) service. \u201cAll Bank Indonesia operational\nactivities will resume normally on Wednesday, 25 March 2026,\u201d BI stated\nin its announcement on Monday, 9 March 2026.<\/p>\n
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, will operate only 186\nof its branch offices to serve customer banking needs during the Nyepi\nand Eid al-Fitr 2026 holiday period. BRI will operate these 186\nbranches, sub-branches, and cash offices on 18, 20, 23, and 24 March\n2026 from 08:00 to 15:00 local time. On 19, 21, and 22 March 2026, BRI\nwill not be operational.<\/p>\n
The BRI units that open will only provide account opening\ntransactions, cash withdrawals and deposits, debit card services,\ne-banking registration, state revenue deposits, customer complaints, and\nspecial customer services from Pertamina and Jasa Raharja. In addition\nto limited branch operations, BRI has prepared digital banking channels\nduring this period, with 10,650 ATMs, 284,670 EDC terminals, nearly 607\nmerchant partners, over 1.19 million BRILink agents, and over 4.6\nmillion QRIS points ready to serve customers.<\/p>\n
Customers can also utilise the 24-hour information and assistance\nservices available through BRI\u2019s virtual assistant Sabrina on WhatsApp\nat 0812 1214 017, or BRI Contact at 1500017, as well as toll-free\nsupport through the BRImo Help Centre.<\/p>\n
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, or BCA, has determined that all BCA branch\noffices will not operate on 19, 21, 22, and 23 March 2026. On 18 and 24\nMarch 2026, BCA will operate certain branch offices to serve all banking\ntransactions except foreign exchange, SKNBI, and RTGS.<\/p>\n
On 20 March 2026, several BCA branch offices will operate for\nPertamina business-to-business services at the Bandung, Galaxy, Madiun,\nMatraman, Palembang, and Semarang regional centres. The list of branch\noffices operating on 18, 20, and 24 March 2026 can be viewed at\nbca.co.id.<\/p>\n
BCA will resume normal operations at all branch offices on 25 March\n2026. However, during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holiday, BCA will\ncontinue to provide 24-hour banking service access that customers can\nuse at any time through digital platforms such as myBCA, BCA mobile, and\nKlikBCA.
