        "content": "<p>Cheap apartments in Muara Angke<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): President Soeharto is scheduled on Friday to<br>\ninaugurate low-cost apartments for fishermen in Muara Angke,<br>\nNorth Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Social Services Endang Kusuma Inten Suweno told<br>\nreporters after meeting with the President at the Merdeka Palace<br>\non Monday that the facilities, which constitutes a donation from<br>\nDana Gotong Royong Kemanusiaan Foundation, consists of five<br>\nblocks, each with 16 apartments.<\/p>\n<p>\"The foundation's donation is valued at about Rp 1 billion<br>\n(US$454,545),\" she said, adding that a number of government<br>\ninstitutions helped with the construction of the project by<br>\nproviding road networks, electricity, drinking water and<br>\ntelephone lines.\"<\/p>\n<p>The minister said that the facilities are only for fishermen<br>\nwho are now living in nearby slum areas.<\/p>\n<p>Apartment owners living on the upper floor of an apartment<br>\nbuilding will pay Rp 45,000 in monthly installments for 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>Occupants of ground floor apartments will be required to pay<br>\nRp 55,000 monthly for 15 years, she said.
