Jakarta \u2014 Charles Honoris, Deputy Chair of Commission IX of the\nIndonesian House of Representatives, conducted a public socialisation of\nthe Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme on Jalan Jaya Raya RT 003 RW\n014, West Cengkareng Village, Cengkareng Subdistrict, West Jakarta on\nSunday.<\/p>\n
Honoris stated that the socialisation aimed to increase public\nunderstanding of the programme\u2019s objectives, implementation mechanisms,\nand benefits.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe nutritional quality of the public forms an important foundation\nfor national development. A great nation must be supported by healthy\nhuman resources with good nutritional conditions from an early age,\u201d\nHonoris said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the House of Representatives is committed to\noverseeing the programme\u2019s implementation to ensure it operates\neffectively, reaches its intended targets, and delivers genuine impact\nfor communities, particularly in supporting the development of a healthy\nand quality Indonesian youth generation.<\/p>\n
\u201cOptimal nutrition fulfilment not only impacts health, but also\naffects the learning ability and productivity of the next generation in\nthe future,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Honoris also invited the public to play an active role in supporting\nand monitoring the programme\u2019s implementation at ground level.<\/p>\n
Community participation is regarded as important for providing\nfeedback, conveying aspirations, and reporting any obstacles that may\narise so the programme can be continuously improved and refined.<\/p>\n
