Chaotic bus terminal in Bogor<\/p>\n

A pedestrian bridge was recently built next to Bogor's
\nBaranangsiang intercity bus terminal. A number of beggars have
\nnow taken up permanent positions on the bridge, hampering the
\nflow of pedestrians. Many passengers now avoid using the bridge,
\nthus defeating the efforts of the Bogor administration to
\nalleviate traffic jams in front of the bus terminal.<\/p>\n
Traffic police once obligated passengers to use the bridge,
\nbut the effect was temporary as the police seem to find it easier
\nto collect Rp 100 from each passenger using the terminal. They
\nalso neglect to maintain cleanliness within the terminal, to give
\nproper guidance to buses leaving the terminal, to arrange the
\nschedules of bus departures, etc.<\/p>\n
The Baranangsiang terminal is now filthy, especially after it
\nrains. The coming and going of unscheduled buses causes
\ncongestion, while those scheduled are sometimes not ready or not
\nallowed to leave on time. Moreover, many buses are not
\nroadworthy. On the morning of Dec. 23, 1996, the fumes from my
\nbus came inside. It was a Limas bus serving the Bogor-Jakarta
\nroute. Its registration number was B 7791 GD. Which agency
\nreceives passenger complaints?<\/p>\n
