Efforts to increase domestic production capacity are being realised\nthrough the construction of a Chlor Alkali and Ethylene Dichloride\n(CA-EDC) facility in Cilegon, Banten. The project, managed by PT Chandra\nAsri Alkali (CAA), has recorded 72% construction progress as of July\n2026 and is targeted to commence commercial operations in 2027.<\/p>\n
The investment for the CA-EDC facility, valued at over US$800\nmillion, is intended to ensure the reliability of the national basic\nchemical supply. The project aims to reduce dependence on imported\nproducts while absorbing labour in the manufacturing sector. In the\nenergy sector, the company has acquired Aster Chemicals and Energy to\nexpand the distribution of petroleum products such as petrol, jet fuel,\ngas oil, and bitumen. This move is further strengthened by the\nintegration of the Esso network in Singapore to enhance regional energy\nsupply chain operations.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure sector development is being carried out through PT\nChandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDI), which manages power services,\nindustrial water, port management, and logistics. This business unit is\nset to support goods movement and integrated industrial utility\nprovision by 2026. Additionally, the formation of PT Chandra Asri\nSentral Solusi (CASS) has been established as a strategic operational\npartner in Singapore.<\/p>\n
