All Nutritional Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG) in Central Java are\nnow required to absorb the supply of eggs and chicken meat from local\nfarmers. This policy was adopted to support the sustainability of the\nFree Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme while maintaining price stability\nfor livestock commodities at the producer level.<\/p>\n
The strategic commitment was agreed upon through a coordination\nmeeting involving the Central Java Provincial Government, the National\nNutrition Agency (BGN), farmer associations, and farmer cooperatives at\nthe Central Java Governor\u2019s Office Complex on Friday (19\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Central Java Deputy Governor Taj Yasin Maimoen stressed that all SPPG\nin the region must prioritise purchasing food supplies from cooperatives\nand people\u2019s livestock associations in Central Java. This step is\nexpected to create a mutually beneficial circular economic\necosystem.<\/p>\n
\u201cSPPG in Central Java must buy food supplies from Central Java,\nwhether managed by cooperatives or associations,\u201d said Taj Yasin.<\/p>\n
In the agreement, an MBG menu scheme was established that will use\neggs and chicken meat twice each per week. To ensure business certainty\nfor farmers, the government also set the following reference prices:<\/p>\n
This policy is considered crucial not only to guarantee nutritional\navailability for beneficiaries but also as a protective instrument for\nfarmers to prevent losses due to price fluctuations or oversupply.<\/p>\n
BGN Director of Community Empowerment and Participation, Tengku\nSyahdana, stated that this agreement will serve as an official guideline\nfor all SPPG and partner foundations implementing MBG. BGN is committed\nto conducting strict supervision in the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cBGN will supervise and take firm action against any violation of the\nprovisions set forth in this agreement,\u201d Tengku asserted.<\/p>\n
Chairman of the Central Java Prosperous Poultry Farmers Cooperative\n(KPUS), Suwardi, projected that the potential absorption of eggs through\nthis programme is very large. If all MBG kitchens consistently use eggs\ntwice a week, absorption is predicted to reach 1,050 tonnes per\nweek.<\/p>\n
