Semarang (ANTARA) - The Central Java Provincial Government has set\ndual targets for the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) in\n2026, aiming to succeed both as the host and in achieving competitive\nexcellence.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the host, we must succeed. However, it is not enough for the\norganisation to be successful; the delegation must also succeed. That is\nwhat makes a true champion,\u201d said the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad\nLuthfi, in Semarang on Wednesday, during the Competency Enhancement\nTraining for Prospective Participants of the 31st National MTQ at the\nManyaran Transit Hajj Dormitory, Semarang City.<\/p>\n
He urged the delegation members to utilise the training period to\nmature their skills, mental fortitude, and competitive readiness.<\/p>\n
According to Luthfi, Central Java possesses significant assets to\nachieve excellence, as its large Muslim population provides an abundance\nof mosques, prayer rooms, and hafiz and hafizah (Quran memorisers).<\/p>\n
He requested that participants maximise their training time, noting\nthat success cannot be achieved instantly but must be prepared through\npractice.<\/p>\n

Luthfi reminded participants that they are no longer merely\nrepresenting themselves or their home districts, but are carrying the\ngreat name of Central Java.<\/p>\n
The Coordinator of Coaches for the Central Java Delegation, Sofyan\nHadi Musa, stated that the training has entered its sixth period.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main focus is simulating how to perform at the MTQ, followed by\nbeing assessed and provided with feedback to ensure there are no\ndeficiencies or errors during the performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In addition to technical skills, the training is directed towards\nstrengthening the participants\u2019 mental resilience so they can perform\ncalmly and consistently before the panel of judges.<\/p>\n
A total of 67 delegation members are participating in the training,\nconsisting of 56 core participants and 11 reserves. They are accompanied\nby 13 national coaches and 13 local coaches.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Vice Governor of Central Java and Chairperson of the\nLPTQ Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, also urged participants to\ncultivate self-confidence.<\/p>\n
