        "content": "<p>The Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the\nCentral Java Regional Police has uncovered three cases involving the\nmisuse of subsidised petroleum and LPG in several areas of Central Java.\nThe revelations include the illegal refilling of subsidised LPG in\nSukoharju Regency, as well as the misuse of subsidised BioSolar in\nKebumen and Demak Regencies.<\/p>\n<p>From these three cases, police estimate that the misuse of subsidies\nhas the potential to cause state losses amounting to Rp10.8 billion. The\nmethods used by the perpetrators varied, ranging from transferring the\ncontents of 3kg LPG cylinders into non-subsidised cylinders to modifying\nvehicles and tanks to hold large quantities of subsidised fuel.<\/p>\n<p>In the course of these investigations, police seized various pieces\nof evidence, including 983 filled 3kg LPG cylinders, 253 empty 3kg LPG\ncylinders, 42 50kg LPG cylinders, five 12kg LPG cylinders, as well as\nvehicles that had been modified to siphon and transport subsidised\nfuel.<\/p>\n<p>This enforcement action is part of the police\u2019s ongoing efforts to\nmonitor the distribution of energy subsidies to ensure they reach the\nintended recipients. Police are also continuing to investigate practices\nof misuse that have the potential to reduce the rights of the public to\naccess subsidised fuel and LPG.<\/p>",
