        "content": "<p>Fifty-two motorcycles, cars, and trucks that were about to be\nsmuggled to East Timor were secured by the Smuggling Task Force of the\nDirectorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the\nCentral Java Regional Police. The value of the smuggling transaction\nreached Rp 100 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Reskrimsus of Central Java Police, Senior\nCommissioner Djoko Julianto, stated that two suspects were successfully\napprehended. The profits obtained by the suspects from the transaction\nexceeded Rp 10 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transaction value from this crime reached Rp 100 billion. The\nprofits of the perpetrators reached more than Rp 10 billion,\u201d said\nSenior Commissioner Djoko Julianto at the Dit Reskrimsus Headquarters of\nCentral Java Police, Semarang, as reported by detikJateng, Wednesday\n(22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have been operating since January 2025 until April 2026. The\nnumber of containers successfully sent by the suspects is 52\ncontainers,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Over approximately 15 months of operation, thousands of vehicles have\nalready been smuggled to East Timor. The vehicles most commonly sent\nwere motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total vehicles already sent to East Timor number 1,727 vehicles,\nconsisting of 1,674 motorcycles, 34 cars, and 19 trucks,\u201d Djoko\nrevealed.<\/p>\n<p>These illegal vehicles, lacking proper documentation, were purchased\nby the perpetrators at low prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe purchase price for motorcycles is around Rp 6-8 million, cars\naround Rp 120-135 million, and trucks around Rp 180-200 million,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>These vehicles were then sold in East Timor at higher prices.
