Central Java province has received the third-best award in the\nInflation Control category during the 2026 Regional Outstanding Local\nGovernment Appreciation for the Java-Bali region, held at the Yogyakarta\nMarriott on Thursday (4\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
The award from the Ministry of Home Affairs was presented by the\nChairperson of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives\n(DPR RI), Siti Hediati Soeharto, and received by the Governor of Central\nJava, Ahmad Luthfi.<\/p>\n
Following the award, Ahmad Luthfi pledged to improve future\nachievements by involving all community components and potential\nresources. He noted that the award serves as motivation for both the\nprovincial government and the various regencies and cities within the\nprovince, stating that the provincial government cannot succeed without\nthe involvement of regents, mayors, and even village governments.<\/p>\n
\u201cInflation control is vital to ensure that the needs and purchasing\npower of the community are met, both in terms of the availability of\nessential commodities and price affordability,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
He further noted that collaboration between the Central Java\nProvincial Government, Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD), district\/city\ngovernments, village governments, and the banking sector must be\nmaintained to ensure the smooth distribution of essential goods to\nconsumers. \u201cFor example, we can distribute shallots and chillies to\nensure affordability, which is crucial for suppressing inflation,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
The Inflation Control category was particularly noteworthy as all\nprovinces in the Java-Bali region secured awards following specific\nadjustments made by the assessment committee. In the Provincial Level\nInflation Control category, Bali took first place, DI Yogyakarta took\nsecond, and Central Java took third.<\/p>\n
In addition to the provincial recognition, several local governments\nwithin Central Java also received awards. Magelang City ranked first in\nthe City-Level Unemployment Reduction category, while Surakarta City\nranked second.
