The Central Java Provincial Government has introduced a free online psychological consultation service called 'Logis' to address mental health issues, particularly among children and students. The initiative aims to overcome barriers of distance, time, and social stigma by providing professional support through a dedicated application. Governor Ahmad Luthfi also handed over an ambulance to the Kendal fishermen's association to improve healthcare access in coastal areas.

The service is a proactive measure to ensure that mental health
issues, especially among children and students, are addressed promptly.
Through this service, residents of Central Java no longer need to fear
or feel ashamed when consulting about mental health.

This service can be accessed via the JNN Ext 2 application. Operating
from Monday to Thursday between 11:00 and 13:00 WIB, and Friday from
10:00 to 12:00 WIB, the service is supported by professional
psychologists from eight hospitals owned by the Central Java Provincial
Government.

“This is a form of free online psychological consultation service
that can be accessed by everyone in the community,” said the Governor of
Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, in a statement on Friday (3/7/2026).

He made this announcement during the launch of ‘Logis’ at the Central
Java Provincial Health Office in Semarang yesterday.

In addition to involving psychologists, the service also involves the
Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Education Office to reach children
and students experiencing psychological issues, ranging from stress to
bullying.

Luthfi stated that the service is provided online and managed by
professionals. He noted that the programme is part of the government’s
effort to proactively address mental health issues within the
community.

According to him, many psychological issues have previously only
received attention after becoming public cases. “However, with this free
psychological service, it is hoped that those seeking help can be
protected regarding the issues they face,” said Luthfi.

In his directive, Luthfi also requested that the service be
socialised in schools, including through anti-bullying or ‘zero
bullying’ campaigns.

Based on data from the Central Java Provincial Health Office, as of
the first quarter of 2026, 2.13 million adults have participated in
mental health screenings through the Free Health Check Programme.
Meanwhile, approximately 14,600 people with mental disorders are
receiving treatment at community health centres (Puskesmas).

The Head of the Central Java Provincial Health Office, Zulfachmi
Wahab, stated that the Free Online Psychologist Service is a flagship
programme of the Central Java Provincial Government in the health
sector, following the ‘Doctor on the Move’ (Spelling) programme. The
programme was introduced to overcome barriers related to distance, time,
and the social stigma surrounding mental health services.

He explained that despite the high number of mental health-related
cases, only a small number seek treatment. Therefore, this service is
expected to serve as an initial gateway for early detection through
online consultation.

In the future, if indications of a condition leading to a medical
necessity are found, officers can follow up with home visits. “The
presence of this service is to address constraints of distance, time,
and the feeling of shame or stigma. The service is conducted privately,
like a psychological consultation. If a medical indication is found, we
will conduct home visits,” he said.

On the same occasion, Luthfi also handed over one ambulance unit to
the All Indonesia Fishermen’s Association (HNSI) of Kendal Regency. He
noted that an ambulance is a vital facility for communities in coastal
and seaside areas.

“We are providing an ambulance to the fishermen. This is a form of
accelerating health services for the community, specifically for
fishermen,” said Luthfi.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Kendal Regency HNSI DPC, Triyono, said
the ambulance would be utilised to assist fishermen experiencing
emergencies, whether due to illness or death.

“With this ambulance, we hope to reduce the burden on fishermen. If
someone falls ill or passes away, at least they can be assisted,”
expressed Triyono.

Triyono added that, until now, fishermen in Kendal did not have their
own ambulance, meaning every emergency required coordination with a
hospital. “When an incident occurs, we have to communicate with the
hospital in Kendal Regency first. We still have to wait, and that has
been our obstacle so far,” he concluded.
",
