SEMARANG \u2014 Agus Yulianto, head of the Central Java and D.I.\nYogyakarta Customs Regional Office, has approved an Export-Import\nFacility for Exemption (Kemudahan Impor Tujuan Ekspor Pembebasan, or\nKITE Pembebasan) for PT Soar Gold Candle. The approval was presented on\nThursday, 15 October 2026.<\/p>\n
Agus said the provision of customs facilities was one way Customs\nsupported export-oriented domestic industries. \u201cWe hope the KITE\nPembebasan facility will help the company optimise production costs and\nimprove the competitiveness of its products. We encourage businesses to\nmake use of customs facilities in accordance with the rules so they can\ndevelop their operations and expand access to international markets,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
KITE Pembebasan is a customs facility that exempts imported raw\nmaterials from import duties and grants relief from Value Added Tax\n(VAT), or VAT and Luxury Goods Sales Tax, when those materials are\nprocessed, assembled or installed in other goods to produce items\nintended for export, in accordance with applicable regulations. The\nfacility can reduce companies\u2019 raw-material procurement costs, giving\nthem more scope to improve efficiency and product competitiveness.<\/p>\n
PT Soar Gold Candle produces aromatherapy and decorative candles in\nTegal regency and is targeting export markets in France, Germany, Sweden\nand Poland. The market expansion is expected to create opportunities for\ncandles made in Tegal regency to reach a broader consumer base in\nEurope.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s business expansion could also boost employment and the\nregional economy. It employed 47 local workers in 2026, a figure\nprojected to rise to 250 by 2030 as it expands its capacity.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s investment is estimated at Rp18.5 billion in 2026 and\nis projected to increase to around Rp22.49 billion by 2030. The\nprojections reflect plans to expand the business alongside increased\nproduction capacity and broader market reach.<\/p>\n
Agus added that use of customs facilities must be accompanied by the\nfulfilment of administrative obligations and compliance with applicable\nregulations. This will ensure the benefits are fully used to support the\ncompany\u2019s production and export plans.<\/p>\n
