The central government has increased the infrastructure budget in
East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) by Rp 99.65 billion for 2026. This additional
funding aims to strengthen road and bridge connectivity across various
regions in NTT. Based on data from the Regional Office of the
Directorate General of the Treasury (DJPb) in NTT Province, the total
allocation for the Ministry of Public Works in NTT has risen from Rp
1.44 trillion in January to Rp 1.54 trillion in April 2026. The increase
comprises an additional Rp 67.75 billion for goods expenditure and Rp
31.90 billion for capital expenditure. The Head of the NTT DJPb Regional
Office, Adi Setiawan, explained that the budget distribution is carried
out through the National Road Implementation Work Units (PJN) in four
work areas, focusing on road and bridge construction. This additional
budget is expected to improve community mobility, lower logistics costs,
and support inflation control in island regions like NTT. “This budget
increase is a response to the growing needs for community mobility and
the demands for accelerating development in economic growth areas,” said
Adi in a release received by detikBali on Tuesday (7/4/2026). With the
increased allocation for the connectivity sector, Adi stated that the
government hopes to overcome distribution barriers due to geographical
conditions, thereby making logistics mobility faster and more efficient.
“This budget addition is also expected to have a direct impact on the
smooth distribution of goods and the reduction of transportation costs,
which ultimately maintains the stability of essential commodity prices
in society,” he emphasised.
",
