The Central Bengkulu Regency Government has recorded that 14 Koperasi\nDesa Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) outlets in the region are ready to\noperate in August 2026 and are awaiting instructions from the central\ngovernment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are still waiting for instructions from the centre. However, the\ninformation we have received indicates that 14 KDKMP outlets will be\ninaugurated this August,\u201d said Gunawan, Head of the Trade, Industry,\nCooperatives and SMEs Office of Central Bengkulu Regency, in Bengkulu on\nMonday.<\/p>\n
He noted that of the total 60 outlets spread across 11 sub-districts\nin Central Bengkulu Regency, preparations have not stopped at the\ncompletion of buildings, and cooperative equipment has already been\ndistributed.<\/p>\n
At present, all KDKMP buildings remain under the responsibility of\nthe construction contractor and the Indonesian National Armed Forces\n(TNI), as once construction is complete, the facilities will be handed\nover to the respective village governments for management.<\/p>\n
Gunawan further explained that the construction of KDKMP outlets\nfollows established regulations, with each building measuring\napproximately 20 by 30 square metres.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe construction of KDKMP outlets is in accordance with regulations.\nThe buildings measure 20 by 30 square metres. Once handed over, we hope\nthe management will be responsible for the buildings and all existing\nfacilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance, through the Directorate General\nof Treasury, has recorded transactions at KDKMP outlets in two areas of\nBengkulu Province from January to the end of June 2026 totalling\nRp306.71 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndeed, the stages of the Merah Putih Cooperatives in Bengkulu\nProvince are currently still in the process of constructing outlets at\nseveral completed locations. However, some cooperatives are already\noperating and there are transactions recorded on the Ministry of\nCooperatives dashboard amounting to approximately Rp306.71 million,\u201d\nexplained Mohamad Irfan Surya Wardhana, Head of the Bengkulu Regional\nOffice of the Directorate General of Treasury.<\/p>\n
The transaction value of the Koperasi Desa Kelurahan Merah Putih\noccurred from January to the end of June 2026, derived from the sale of\nurea, NPK and Phonska fertiliser commodities.<\/p>\n
Based on data from the Koperasi Desa Kelurahan Merah Putih management\ninformation system, the transactions totalling Rp306.71 million\noriginated from Padang Jaya Sub-district in North Bengkulu Regency and\nLubuk Pinang Sub-district in Mukomuko Regency.<\/p>\n
Although a number of Merah Putih Cooperatives in Bengkulu Province\nare not yet fully operational, the KDKMP have already contributed\ntransactions, providing evidence that these cooperatives are capable of\nbecoming drivers of the community\u2019s economic activity.<\/p>\n
