        "content": "<p>The People\u2019s School in Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung\nIslands Province, is projected to accommodate 2,000 students, double the\ninitial plan of 1,000 students.<\/p>\n<p>Central Bangka Regional Secretary Ahmad Syarifullah Nizzam in Koba on\nMonday said the increase in capacity means preparations for study groups\nand teaching staff need to be adjusted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe People\u2019s School, which was initially projected to have a\ncapacity of 1,000 students, has increased to 2,000 people, or there has\nbeen an increase in study groups,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Nizzam, the requirements for establishing the People\u2019s\nSchool in Central Bangka have essentially been met. The regional\ngovernment is now adjusting a number of documents following changes in\nland use.<\/p>\n<p>The land area previously listed reached nine hectares, but changes\noccurred on the ground because part of the land will be used for the\nconstruction of a dual-carriageway road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause there is a change or reduction in land area due to part of\nit being used for a dual-carriageway road, we must revise the documents\nagain,\u201d Nizzam said.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bangka Regency Government is also proposing the issuance\nof certificates according to land requirements while still providing\nsufficient space for road access.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of supporting facilities, he continued, the central\ngovernment has provided assistance of Rp9 billion for the procurement of\nwater resources that will draw supply from Kolong Sarkawi.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for teaching staff, Nizzam said the regional government is\nstill preparing the recruitment process according to the special\ncriteria that have been established.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must synergise with the central government to prepare teachers\nwho meet the qualifications,\u201d Nizzam said.<\/p>\n<p>Nizzam said the regional government\u2019s authority in the operation of\nthe People\u2019s School includes the provision of land and management of\ndormitories.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Bangka Regency Government is targeting the People\u2019s\nSchool to begin operating and accepting new students in the 2027\nacademic year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, all of that depends on the central government. We are\nwaiting, and what is within the region\u2019s authority regarding the\nPeople\u2019s School we have already fulfilled,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
