        "content": "<p>The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has reported that the US\nintercepted ballistic missiles and drones launched by Iran towards the\nStrait of Hormuz and countries in the Gulf region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnited States forces intercepted a number of Iranian ballistic\nmissiles and drones launched towards the Strait of Hormuz and\nneighbouring countries in the Gulf region on 5 June,\u201d CENTCOM stated in\na release.<\/p>\n<p>CENTCOM stated that Iran fired seven ballistic missiles towards\nKuwait and Bahrain. Six missiles were successfully intercepted, while\nthe seventh missile failed to reach its intended target.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also noted that, to date, there have been no reports of\ncasualties or losses among US military personnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran\u2019s claims that they have damaged the US Navy\u2019s Fifth Fleet\nheadquarters in Bahrain are untrue,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>CENTCOM added that its forces remain on alert and are in a position\nto continue responding to what it described as \u201cIranian aggression.\u201d<\/p>",
