Censor for film posters<\/p>\n
The Jakarta Chapter of Film Distribution Agency (Bapfida DKI)
\nis threatening to pull down any unauthorized film posters put up
\nby movie house owners.<\/p>\n
Semyon Sinulingga, the head of Bapfida DKI, said yesterday
\nthat film posters must be approved by the Film Censorship Body
\n(BSF).<\/p>\n
"If film posters placed by movie house owners are not approved
\nby the BSF, we will remove them," Sinulingga was quoted by Antara
\nas saying.<\/p>\n
He said Bapfida is planning to launch a "cleaning" operation
\nto rid the city of unauthorized film posters.<\/p>\n
"The operation will involve related government agencies such
\nas the police and the City Public Law and Order Office," Seymon
\nsaid, adding that the operation will be gradual.<\/p>\n
"We will warn them first, but if they keep ignoring the
\nregulation, we will give them harsher penalties," Sinulingga
\nexplained.<\/p>\n
The operation is believed to have been triggered by the
\npublic's recent criticism of film posters featuring scantily clad
