The Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) celebrated its 70th\nDies Natalis as a symbol of its commitment to becoming an excellent\ncivil service higher education institution. This milestone also\nreinforces IPDN\u2019s steps in transforming towards a World Class\nUniversity.<\/p>\n
Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian emphasised that the age of 70\nis an opportunity for IPDN to strengthen its vision, integrity, and\nstrategy in producing competent future government leaders.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am confident that IPDN can develop itself with adaptive\ninnovations, improved facilities and infrastructure, reliable study\nprogrammes, as well as scientific studies that can serve as references\nfor users or decision-makers,\u201d said Tito.<\/p>\n
In line with the Minister, Vice Chairman of the Corruption\nEradication Commission (KPK), Prof.\u00a0Dr.\u00a0Agus Joko Pramono, who attended\nthe Open Senate Session at the Rudini Balairung Building, Jatinangor,\ndelivered a scientific oration on IPDN\u2019s strategic role. He highlighted\nthe importance of moral aspects in future bureaucracy.<\/p>\n
\u201cIPDN must not only produce graduates who understand government\nadministration but must shape competent, integrity-filled civil servants\nwho are sensitive to ethics, accountable, transparent, and brave in\nrejecting deviations,\u201d said Prof.\u00a0Agus.<\/p>\n
According to him, future bureaucracy requires public leaders capable\nof combining ethics and courage.<\/p>\n
\u201cFuture bureaucracy not only needs technically intelligent people,\nbut requires public leaders with integrity who can combine ethics and\ncourage, who not only can implement rules but are able to uphold the\ndignity of their positions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs III, Komjen Pol (Ret.)\nDrs. Akhmad Wiyagus, reminded the importance of mastering technology in\nthe digital era. He hopes IPDN not only pursues excellent accreditation\nat the national level but also ventures into the international\narena.<\/p>\n
\u201cIPDN must be able to enhance competencies in mastering science and\ntechnology, especially communication technology in the digitalisation\nera. This aligns with the increasingly developing dynamics of\ngovernment, and the challenges of government and public services in the\ndigitalisation era require quality human resources for civil servants\nwith professional capabilities in information and communication\ntechnology as well as high personal integrity,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
At the end of his speech, the Deputy Minister also appreciated IPDN\u2019s\nactive role in humanitarian missions.<\/p>\n
